How to Configure Entourage 2001 for SMTP Authentication

Requirements

To use SMTP Authentication you must upgrade to version 9.0.4 of Entourage 2001. This upgrade is available at Microsoft's website.Click here to Download version 9.0.4 from Microsoft

Step 1

1. Double click on the Entourage icon

2. From the Tools menu, choose Accounts.

Steps 3 & 4

3. Select your email account in the list.
4. Click the Edit button.

Step 5 & 6

5. In the SMTP Server field, type smtp.marshallnet.com.
6.Click the Click here for advanced sending options button.

Step 7 - 13

7. Check the box next to SMTP server requires authentication.
8. Select Log on using.
9. In the Account ID field, type your full Marshallnet email address (e.g., username@marshallnet.com).
10. In the Password field, type your password.
11. Check the box next to Save password to save your password.
12. Close the advanced sending options window.

13. Click the OK button.
Congratulations! You have successfully configured Entourage 2001 for SMTP Authentication.
